Research Summary

Research in my laboratory involves clinical and basic studies of spontaneously occurring neuromuscular diseases affecting canines and felines, with emphasis on those diseases shared by animals and humans. Of particular interest are the inflammatory myopathies, muscular dystrophies, and myasthenia gravis. My laboratory (The Comparative Neuromuscular Laboratory) is also an international reference center for the diagnostic testing of canine and feline neuromuscular diseases (myopathies, neuropathies, and disorders of neuromuscular transmission) providing a unique resource for veterinary clinicians and basic researchers. Please visit my laboratory Web site where you can learn more about our work.
